DO NOT REMOVE THE LOGS BY MANUALLY DELETING THEM.
This will cause exchange to crash and you will have a bad time restoring it.
This guide works for Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2013. Other Exchange versions have not been tested by me, but should also work.
To manually purge the files, follow these steps:
- Open CMD (CTRL+R, type in cmd and enter)
- Type ‘diskshadow‘ into CMD and type these commands:
- Add volume d: (change d: to the drive where exchange logs are stored)
- Begin Backup
- Create
- End Backup
- Type ‘exit’ to quit diskshadow
Your Exchange log files should now be cleaned up.
