When this occurs, you can try add it manually.<\/p>\n<p>These are the steps you should take when configuring an Office 365 account manually:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Choose for\u00a0<strong>Manual Setup or additional server types\u00a0<\/strong>in the Outlook Account Setup<\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Microsoft Exchange Server or compatible service<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Enter these settings in the field in the next step:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Server<\/strong>: outlook.office365.com<\/li>\n<li><strong>User Name<\/strong>: -your full Office 365 e-mail address-<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>On the bottom of the screen select <strong>More Settings&#8230;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Security<\/strong> tab:\n<ul>\n<li>Uncheck <strong>Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Logon network security<\/strong> drop-down box, choose <strong>Anonymous Authentication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Connection<\/strong> tab:\n<ul>\n<li>Check <strong>Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Exchange Proxy Settings<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>In the <strong>Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange<\/strong> field, enter\u00a0<strong>outlook.office365.com<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Check\u00a0<strong>Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name on their certificate<\/strong>, then enter <strong>msstd:outlook.com<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Check <strong>On fast networks, connect using HTTP first then connect using TCP\/IP<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Proxy authentication settings<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down box, choose\u00a0<strong>Basic\u00a0Authentication<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Click two times <strong>OK<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You can click on <strong>Check Name<\/strong> now<\/li>\n<li>You will get an <strong>authentication prompt<\/strong> where you should enter your full Office 365 e-mail address and the correct password for this account. It is probably a good idea to check <strong>Remember my credentials<\/strong>\u00a0so the prompt won&#8217;t reappear when using Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>When pressing OK, you should be able to proceed and finish the Account Setup.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes, Outlook will have problems configuring an Office 365 account on it&#8217;s own.
