Domain Controller boot loop in AD repair mode

First of all, start the domain controller in safe mode (F8 at boot), where you can change the boot option back to normal.
Do this with Run -> msconfig
In the ‘boot’ section/tab in msconfig, you can turn off the safe boot in active directory mode.

Then reboot, you can now log in normally.
There is still a registry value in the boot partition wrongly configured if the loop persists.
This needs to be changed in command prompt.

You will need to go to the boot folder, this is a hidden partition OR a hidden folder in the C drive.
The hidden folder is C:\boot, but if it is a hidden partition, right click Computer > Manage > Disk Management, and give the boot volume a drive letter.

When you have started command prompt and you are at the boot folder/partition, you should enter these commands:

bcdedit /set safeboot dsrepair
bcdedit /deletevalue safeboot
shutdown -f -r
